Certain behaviour and slips in security of late have been completely unacceptable for a school setting. While I certainly cannot say that an outside, possibly dangerous creature roaming the school grounds is unprecedented, I do hope that -- when classes resume -- I see a marked improvement in the behaviour of both staff and students.

In order to reinforce this goal, any student caught outside of his or her dormitories after hours will lose no less than thirty points for their House. I do realise that the winter months have made you all restless, but accepting thoughtless dares into forbidden areas is not the way to remedy this.
